Travel through the history of rock with this app. Rockspots Los Angeles guides you down the boulevards and through the avenues where rock history was made: Where Frank Zappa lived. Where Janis Joplin died. Where Guns N’ Roses played their first gig. Where Michael Jackson’s hair caught fire.

The City of Angels exploded in the Sixties, when the British Invasion of Rock hit the LSD fueled Californian Flower Power scene. This app takes you to the places where it all happened throughout the following decades. The Whisky A Go Go, The Hollywood Bowl, Hullabaloo, The London Fog. Many of the historical spots are long gone, but now you can relive the story.

Through search criteria such as Home, Concert Venue, Birthplace, Death Site, Burial Site, Album Cover and Recording Studio you’ll be closer to the story than ever before. Rockspots Los Angeles lets you search for specific artists (nearly 50 spots related to The Doors!), music video locations or the story behind a song. Check in at the “Hotel California”, or take a stroll down Jim Morrison’s “Love Street”.

Take your iPhone for a trip around Los Angeles, or do the traveling at home. You can read the stories and save your favorites for a later pilgrimage. Find the spots easily on the map and get the directions on how to get there from your own location.
